Happy 牛 year, everybody! It's been a few years since my family and I last stayed in Singapore during CNY liao. Almost every year we went out of Singapore because that is the only 'long' stretch of break that my parents can have from their work at the factory. This year, we went to our relatives' house like before! I must say it's a nice feeling that I sort of 'rediscovered'. Furthermore, this is the last year I am officially allowed to collect Ang Baos. Haha. From next year CNY onwards, I will be GIVING instead of receiving as my wedding dinner is in May this year. Not complaining or anything but this will surely need some adjusting to. :)
How much did YOU manage to collect for this year CNY?
And now for something that I 'kopped' from my wife's blog. Interesting!

Nah, new update.. (to my wife)
2 months without updating this blog liao. Haha. Kena complain from my wife so here is a new post together with some updates! :)
I took JLPT2 (Japanese language proficiency test) on 7th Dec after about 2.5 years of studying the language at Hougang Japanese School. Although me and my wife took 1 whole week of leave to prepare, revise and bite into those books, I still found the test totally difficult! The listening was terrible, almost native speaking speed I guess. In the end, it was more or less a game of Tikam for me as the test is entirely MCQ. Haha. Don't expect myself to pass when the results are released in end Feb 09. Next year work harder. The weird thing is that I have another friend who said the test is actually easier than past years! Jialat, next year one I hope can be easier a bit. *pray*
My Japanese language sensei is back to Japan for good this month. *weep* She has taught me and my wife from elementary to advanced, a good 2.5 years lor. Really she bu de that she has to return back to her country. But I guess it's bo bian, she IS native Japanese afterall. Sooner or later sure must go back one. So before she went back, we got a small thank-you card for her. Hopefully she'll remember the 2 of us. :) That sort of ended our studies at Hougang Japanese School liao. Following that, we enrolled for Japanese classes in Ikoma Language School (in Shaw House). We were told that there will be a placement test before we are allowed to join their Advanced course. Initially we were quite worried what sort of test will that be but end up, it's more of a briefing session ba. Haha. The sensei was just briefing us (in Japanese of course) on what the lessons usually consists of, what do they usually do etc. Quite a nice lady. Coincidentally, the class we signed up for happens to be her class too! Haha. The atmosphere at Ikoma School is very nice and the place looks professional. Studying there must be very beneficial to us, I hope. We will be starting lessons there in January. Looking forward to that!

Sushi!!
Was at The Central with my wife 2 weeks back and there was a Sushi Making demonstration. The Sushi Master made sushi making look sooo easy that I told my wife, 'Hey, we can try doing this at home.. Looks so easy!' The week after, we went to Liang Court and grabbed some stuff from Meidi-Ya supermarket.
Today, we tried our hands at sushi making. Hmm. Not too bad for a first timer. 初めの体験はすごいね。We did the easiest of the easiest: california temaki, california maki and salmon nigiri sushi. Looks are erm, not really up to professional standard but they sure taste good! Maybe becuz the ingredients are fresh. Haha. Too bad I have no pictures to boast of cuz they are all resting in peace now in my stomach. :)
To all sushi lovers out there, sushi making (basic ones) are really not too difficult. We even found sushi making methods online posted on youtube! Try it!

A-Mei Star Tour!
Went with my girlfriend wife to the indoor stadium yesterday for Zhang Hui Mei's Star concert which ended at about 11.30pm. It was fantastic although we already went for it before in 2007! Yeap, this is an encore concert but the turnout was awesome! I could not actually see any empty seats in the stadium.
Camera lights were flashing none stop although by rights, no cameras are allowed. :) Last year we guai guai don't bring any camera and we felt soooo cheated. This year, we xue cong ming le, brought in our camera and took many pictures! The security guards did not actually thoroughly check through everyone's bags before granting access to them, really. Dunno if they did that deliberately or just to save time for everyone. I even saw a woman totally bypassing the bag check lor. Haha.
During the concert, Wanhua commented that this is the first time we are in a concert as husband and wife! Last year was just as gf/bf. Haha. Very true!

A new beginning.
Finally, preparations are done and the day has come. Tomorrow's the start of a new phase of my life! Excited? Definitely! Unsure of the future? Can't help thinking that way too. I guess we just have to ride the waves and tackle problems as they arise, dear. :) 船到桥头自然直。一緒に頑張てね。未来はずっと輝いてるね。
Behold our nice nice wedding bands! :)
