嬉しかったなあ! Happy!

Received my JLPT results yesterday, finally! Very happy! Got 289 points out of 400. Pass! Seeing from my results alone, it may seem like I'm getting to be real good with Japanese language. Truth is, that was my standard 3 months ago. Due to not using Japanese for a long while, I have almost completely forgotten it! I even have problems with writing this post. What a shame! From now on, I must continue with my Japanese language studies!

Wedding 1st anniversary!

Today marks exactly 1 year from the day of my ROM. Time flies! I still can recall not long ago that my wife and I were hunting around for the best wedding photography package, ROM location, actual day wedding banquet location, solemniser etc. I can't even recall how many hotels we went to for finding the most ideal location. Haha. Subsequently earlier this year, I was in the midst of wedding preparations with all the dismantling of the furniture in my bedroom to make space for the new furniture, getting our current furniture and the list goes on.. Now, all that work is done and we are happily together with each other. Hehe. All that effort has been worth it! I love you dear! We will have many more wedding anniversaries to come in the future! :)

Just Married..

Just finished my wedding dinner last Saturday, 30th May. Feeling so relieved now! So glad everything turned out well! Many thanks to all who came for my wedding, helped out in my wedding in a way or another and of course, my 'brothers' who braved all the fire and rain with me during the gate crashing! Next time you all wedding, I sure will support and be your brother if you all need help, no questions asked! :)

Life after ROM solemnisation ceremony, had pretty much been the same with my wife and I still living separately in our parents' place. However, life after the customary dinner is truly different and I believe I have yet to see everything yet, expecting more changes, more compromise will have to be made along the way! Months and months of preparations finally drew to a close on Saturday amidst the blessings of so many friends and relatives from near and far. I was truly touched during the wedding dinner. Thanks to everyone once again!

Next item on my agenda list, honeymoon! :D

Labour Day!

It's exactly 2 months from my last update! Haha. People who know me will know that I don't update my blog that often, reason being I only post important things that happened in my life! Hehe. I know many will update almost daily with nitty gritty details but heh I'm just not that sort. :)

Anyway, the big thing happening in my life right now is my upcoming wedding dinner on 30th May! That's less than a month away! Preps are underway but there are soooo many things to take care of. I am sure those of you who are already married will agree with me with 2 hands up! That's why they always say it's a 'once in a lifetime' event. No sane one will want to go thru this more than once!! Haha.

Today has indeed been "Labour Day" for me! Been a 'labourer' for my room today with the packing of my room's furniture to make way for my new set of furniture. Damn shag! But luckily I have the help of my wife *hugs*, my mum and my maid. Without them, today I sure jialat. Maybe pengz on the floor now liao. Hehe. My new set of furniture will be coming in 2 weeks and before that, the room has to be repainted, some wiring need to be re-run etc. @_@

Still, some work remains yet to be completed! I wonder how people move house sia. One room only I already shag liao. Haha. But seriously I quite enjoy packing my room for the new furniture because that is the beginning of a new life for me! :)

People who are getting married, one word of advice for you: Start early! And I do not mean just the booking of your banquet 1 year before your wedding. Take care of the big items such as wedding studio and photography early because many unexpected small things/details will pop up at you when you least expect it. Wow, long post.. Haha. That's all for now. Ciao!

IPOD Touch 8Gb!

Went to NATAS Travel Fair yesterday to book my honeymoon for June this year. Finally got that one settled. Yay! We are going to USA (LA, LV, SF, Grand Canyon etc)!! Woohoo!! But the package price is slightly above what we were expecting though. Well, you pay for what you want and SIA is one of the top airlines in the world mah. Haha.

Anyway, after we booked the package and paid using my mum's Mastercard (of course we will pay her back!), we got a chance for a instant lucky dip thing. Guess what, I won a IPOD Touch 8Gb! Haha. The person in charge was like so stunned when he saw I won the big prize. I think he took a step backwards even. Haha. Of course I was happy to receive such a prize. I went home and immediately updated the firmware to get the installer software for my IPOD Touch just like what my wife did. Need to pay for the updating by the way.. While the IPOD Touch was updating, I thought to myself. Eh, normally people use mp3 players while commuting on public transport. I got car leh, so like no much chance to use lor. So, I am thinking of selling it. Anyone interested can contact me, ya? Price can negotiate de. :)

JLPT2

Just got my result slip today from the mail box, got 233/400. Failed! Damn.. By a mere 7 pts some more! Passing mark is 240! Damn dui lor. But my score's actually much better than what I had expected to get liao so it's not that bad really. If I had passed, it will mean I was having good luck with tikam-ing that day during exams. Haha.

Anyway, to all who have taken the test last year in Dec, good luck in checking your mailboxes for your result slips. For those of you who passed, big congrats! For those of you out there who failed like me, work hard for this year's JLPT for 2009 is the last year of JLPT before the system revamps. Ja ne.

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Happy 牛 year, everybody! It's been a few years since my family and I last stayed in Singapore during CNY liao. Almost every year we went out of Singapore because that is the only 'long' stretch of break that my parents can have from their work at the factory. This year, we went to our relatives' house like before! I must say it's a nice feeling that I sort of 'rediscovered'. Furthermore, this is the last year I am officially allowed to collect Ang Baos. Haha. From next year CNY onwards, I will be GIVING instead of receiving as my wedding dinner is in May this year. Not complaining or anything but this will surely need some adjusting to. :)

How much did YOU manage to collect for this year CNY?

And now for something that I 'kopped' from my wife's blog. Interesting!
